Frequently Asked Questions.
Here are a few questions i have heard in
delphi. Alot of these questions have to deal with acting
honorably, and are answered in my oppinion (not necessarily those
of the PF squad)
- 1 Q:What do you if your opponent
runs out of ammo in the middle of a fight?
- 1 A:I think this mainly depends on
the individual. If we were to disengage every time your
opponent is no longer capable of fighting, we would
hardly ever get kills. And you have to be concerned if
you let your opponent go, make sure he runs home, and
that he doesnt go on a bombing run. So pretty much, i
would say do what you think is best.
- 2 Q:What do you do if your opponent
looses a wing of any other part of his plane?
- 2 A:Pretty much i would use the
same answer here as above. If you think it would be best
to let him go, make sure that he really is disabled. Some
planes can still be threat with missing parts, and you
dont want him to trick you into disengaging. It will be
helpful if you have knowledge on what planes can and
cannot perfrom with missing parts. And another thing to
consider if chat restriction is off, try to use chat and
demand that the damaged opponent ditch his plane from
where he is at.
- 3 Q:What is the best way to use a
Spad?
- 3 A:The Spad has very little
turning ability, so you cant do the standard turning
fights. Try to use the hit and run tactic, or the Zoom
and Boom tactics. A hit and run tactic is where you
charge an enemy, make a pass on him and get as many
bullets in him as possible, then after you pass him keep
running untill you get far away from him, then turn
around and do another pass. The Zoom and Boom is where
you get at a high altitude, dive at a enemy below you,
and pull back up to a safe and high altitude.
- 4 Q:What is a good server to fly
in?
- 4 A:Depends on what you want to do.
There is a question of Flight Mode in the settings.
Normal flight mode i think is very unrealistic, and i
wouldnt recomend flying in that too much for war
practice. But however for the newer pilots the normal
mode is the only one they can fly in, so for these people
i would reccomend Caspers Novice Server. For the more
advanced pilots i would reccomend Enemys Among Us, and
SSC Melee. For people who are looking for a Team melee
game, i would go to Tides Of War, or Border Patrol.
- 5 Q:What are the different types of
ammo and what are there uses?
- 5 A:To switch types of ammo, push
SHIFT M, you will see the new type of ammo appear in your
chat window. The first and most common is the Regular
Rounds, these are the heaviest bullets, and the farthest
traveling, the weight of the bullets can destroy the
enemys plane. The second is Incinedary Rounds, these
rounds burn when they hit something, but they have a
pretty short range and are lighter, you can try to get
your enemy to burst into flames with these bullets if you
are lucky. The last is Tracer, these will leave a trail
behind them and make them easy to track, these are best
for like at night when you cant see to well, or when you
want other flights to see your bullets so that they can
come help. But remember, if the friendlys can see your
bullets, the enemys can too.
- 6 Q:Which planes are easier to fly,
and which ones are harder?
- 6 A:Heres a little list i put
together of in my oppinion are the difficulty of the
planes to fly:
- EASY-Morane Bullet, Nuiport 28,
Sopwith Triplane
- Medium-Nuiport 17, Nuiport 24, Spad
7, Spad 13
- HARD-Nuiport 11, Sopwith Camel
- 7 Q: What Should you do if you are
in a 1on1, and your opponent starts jumping all over the
place when net light comes on?
- 7 A: It is usually hard to shoot at
a plane jumping all over the place, but at one point he
may start spinning around frozen in the same spot. While
you can shoot at him and damage him, it is best you dont.
Because at any moment he may stop netting, and may come
out on your tail. Problem with these kind of nettings is
that you dont know where his plane really is, and chances
are he doesnt know where yours is either. The best thing
to do during this is to keep turning hard in circles.
That way when the netting stops, you might end up on his
tail or a position to get on his. But turning all the
time you lower the chances of him ending up on your tail.
